For Health Care Professionals

The Michigan Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Tuberculosis (MI-ACET), a group of representatives from private and public agencies, has revised its 1995 Recommendations of the Michigan Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Tuberculosis. The MI-ACET was formed in 1992 with the goal of developing strategies and recommendations for the elimination of tuberculosis (TB) in Michigan. This document represents the group's efforts to provide the latest TB prevention and control strategies and contains a revised set of recommendations and strategies for a statewide coordinated approach to TB prevention, control, and elimination. It is targeted at a broad audience of private and public health care professionals, and has been prepared by representatives from those very groups. Links to more detailed information, available on the World Wide Web, have been provided throughout the body of this document as well as in the reference pages.
